The spanish soprano Rocío Pérez began her training in music, clarinet and drama from an early age. She studied singing at the ESCM and inmediatly after became part of the operastudio at Opera National du Rihn.
Since then, in addition to performing with internationally renowned ensembles such as Le Talens Lyriques and the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (OCAM), Rocío has developed an extensive operatic career. Among her principal roles are the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) at the Semperoper Dresden; Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Dinorah (Dinorah) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; Nannetta (Falstaff) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola, Rossini) at the Teatro Real in Madrid; Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Opéra de Nancy; and Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) at the Finnish National Opera and La Fenice in Venice.
She has also performed as Berenice (L’occasione fa il ladro) and Mme Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor); Feu/Princesse/Rossignol (L’enfant et les sortilèges) at the Opéra de Lyon; Norina (Don Pasquale) at the Opéra-Théâtre Metz Métropole; Aristea (L’Olympiade, Cimarosa) at the Theater an der Wien and the Opéra de Versailles with Les Talens Lyriques; Le Rossignol (Le Rossignol, Stravinsky) and Thérèse (Les mamelles de Tirésias, Poulenc) at the Opéra de Nice; Manon Lescaut (Manon Lescaut, Auber) at the Teatro Regio di Torino; Violetta Valéry (La Traviata) at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba; Adina (L’elisir d’amore) at the Opéra National de Lorraine; Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Teatro Colón de A Coruña; Carolina (Il matrimonio segreto) and Funny (La cambiale di matrimonio) at Opera National du Rhin.
Rocío has also performed a variety of roles in zarzuela, including Francisquita (Doña Francisquita), Paula (Tres sombreros de copa), and Doña Inés (El caballero de Olmedo) at Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela.
Her talent has been recognized in numerous international competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the 36th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, the I Wettbewerb Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, and the Concours International de Chant de Marmande.
In the 2025/2026 season, Rocío will continue to expand her repertoire with new productions, performing Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Teatro Verdi di Sassari, Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Esmeralda (The Bartered Bride) at Madrid’s Teatro Real, and Marie (La fille du régiment) at the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga.
La soprano madrileña Rocío Pérez se forma desde muy joven en música, clarinete y teatro. Realiza sus estudios de canto en la ESCM y seguidamente pasa a formar parte de la opera estudio de la Ópera National du Rihn hasta 2016.
Desde entonces, además de cantar con orquestas a nivel internacional como Le Talens Lyriques o la OCAM, Rocío ha desarrollado una amplia trayectoria profesional a nivel operístico. Rocío ha sido galardonada en numerosos concursos internacionales como Queen Elisabeth Competition, 36th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, I Wettbewerb Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg y Concours International de Chant de Marmande.
